Chevrolet Avalanche

Chevrolet Avalanche is a 4-door, 5 or 6-seater full-size SUT manufactured by General Motors on an extended Chevrolet Suburban base and Cadillac Escalade EXT since 2001. The peculiarity of the car is that the rear row of seats folds, and, thus, part of the cargo can be in the cabin. It has two generations: the first was produced from 2001 to 2006, and the second is produced since 2007.

First generation (2001)

Full-size pickup Chevrolet Avalanche first generation was produced in Mexico from 2001 to 2006. The car had a version with only a four-door cabin, and in the cabin it could have five or six seats. Thanks to a special removable panel it was possible to arrange access from the cab to the body. At Avalanche installed engines V8 5.3 with a power of 290 hp. or V8 8.1 with a capacity of 340 hp. The transmission is only automatic, four-speed, and the drive could be rear or full.

Second generation (2007)

Chevrolet Avalanche second generation, which, like its predecessor, was sold only in the US market, was produced in Mexico from 2007 to 2012. The car has kept a two-row cabin and the possibility of access from the passenger compartment to the cargo bay. The pickup was equipped with engines V8 in volume of 5,3 liters (320 hp) and 6,0 liters (367 hp). Until 2008, all versions were completed with only a four-speed automatic transmission, and then it was replaced by a six-speed automatic. Chevrolet Avalanche had options with rear or four-wheel drive.
