Alfa Romeo MiTo history

The compact hatchback Alfa Romeo MiTo was launched at the plant in the Italian city of Turin in 2008.

The car, built on the platform of the Fiat Grande Punto, was offered only with a three-door body. The name MiTo was formed by the first two letters of the names of the cities of Milan and Turin (Milano and Torino in Italian).

The car was put gasoline engines in volume of 1.4 liters: atmospheric power of 70-105 hp. and turbocharged power of 120-170 hp, as well as 1,3-liter and 1,6-liter turbodiesel. At first, "Mito" was offered only with mechanical gearboxes, but there were also versions with a robotic box.

In 2012, debuted Alfa Romeo MiTo, equipped with a two-cylinder petrol turbo engine capacity of 0.9 liters and a capacity of 85-105 hp.
