Citroen C1 History

Citroën C1 is a small hatchback manufactured by Citroën mainly for the European market.

First generation

This is a four-seater with three or five doors, which was first introduced to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005 and entered the market in July 2005. The design almost coincides with the Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo.

Collects at the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech, s.r.o. (TPCA) in the city of Colin, Czech Republic.

Second generation

The second generation will make its debut at the Motor Show in Geneva in March 2014.

The car is built on a platform jointly developed by PSA Peugeot Citroën and Toyota, along with Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo second generation. And it will be equipped with two three-cylinder engines 1.0 l (68 hp) and 1.2 l Puretech with the power of 82 hp

Although the latest generation Citroen C1 has almost identical dimensions to its predecessors, which is not surprising, because it is built on the same platform, the developers have made every effort to create an interesting and attractive design that would distinguish the hatchback from the rest of the segment. The dual headlights are almost the same as the Citroen C4 Cactus, and the vertical LED lights are well integrated into the front bumper. Rear-side headlights with 3D effect and tinted glass add to the back of the style. The hatchback profile resembles the Aygo and 108 models.

Modern C1 is available in three trim categories: Touch, Feel and Flair. The entry level Touch model offers: remote door closing, door opener, and MP3 stereo audio system. Moving to Feel, the driver gets: rear-view mirror and door handles painted in body color, air conditioning, height-adjustable driver's seat and infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touch screen. The Flair top-up version will add: 15-inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, tachometer, side mirrors and rear view camera. A separate version of the Furio is presented, which in turn guarantees the presence of a spoiler on the roof and a central exhaust pipe behind. Modern models are offered with a large set of safety features, which include: six pillows, chassis stability system, dynamic braking control system and tire pressure monitoring.
